Let's get the truth out of the way right up front: We're not a big company, just two guys in Seattle who run an arts & entertainment news site in our spare time, and this isn't really much of a job. (Okay, it's not a job at all when it comes right down to it.) For pay all we can do is share our advertising revenue with the writers, and it will be a pitiful amount of money at that, paid out only to the top writers. But at least we'll be honest about it so we don't waste each other's time. Maybe it will turn into more, or maybe it won't. But let's set the expectation low so you won't be disappointed later on.

That being said, if you're looking for an opportunity to write about arts & entertainment on a site that will get you readers so you can build skills, clips and connections, and maybe get the occasional ticket comp, then perhaps we're a match for you.

Here's what you provide at a minimum: some clue about what's going on in local arts & entertainment, and the ability to write in complete sentences about a topic you're passionate about: theatre, music, festivals, comedy, film and more. You make a couple of posts a week, or whenever you get your muse on. They don't have to be long, just relevant and original. You can write about music, art, theater, film, TV, etc. whether locally focused or nationally.

Here's what we provide: a content platform that brings a bit of traffic to what you write, coaching on how to write for a blog so you can get said traffic, and a fancy title if you want one to impress your girlfriend/boyfriend/mom/dad/prospective employer. Hey, what can we say? Titles are cheap.

Qualifications: You have be able to write. We can't teach you that. More important, you have to have a passion for wanting to share your knowledge and opinions with others.
