Dominatrix's story puts UK treasurer in spotlight (AP)

LONDON ? A dominatrix's sensational story of sex, cocaine, and tabloid wrongdoing has revived questions over the relationship between Rupert Murdoch's scandal-hungry News of the World tabloid and Britain's Treasury chief.

Natalie Rowe's 2005 claim that she and Conservative politician George Osborne used to snort cocaine together raised questions about Osborne's character. Osborne denied the claim and survived the scandal, going on to become Britain's finance chief.

Now Rowe's lawyer Mark Lewis says Osborne's survival owes much to the News of the World's forgiving approach to the story.

Lewis said Monday that Osborne later recommended News of the World editor Andy Coulson for a top job with his boss, Prime Minister David Cameron.
