Franchising Your Successful Business

On

EURONICS MANIFESTAZIONE7When you have a business that is very successful and you believe it could be reproduced effectively, then it may possibly be a suitable candidate for franchising. Franchising is a simple and, potentially, very quick way of expanding your business that doesn?t require the same level of upfront capital as other expansion methods. Employing a professional services firm for some strategy consulting will help you decide if this is the right avenue for your business. Once you have decided to go ahead, there are plenty of things you should consider.

Is Your Business Suitable and Ready?

Confirming that you have the right concept is the first step. Is your business easily translatable? In other words, is it something that you can systematise, so that another person can operate it without your input, and will it be as successful in other locations? If so, you are on the right track. The next thing to consider is whether the business is one that will benefit from economies of scale. This is one of the key areas in which franchised businesses can make money. You also need to think about whether your business will appeal to both potential customers and franchisees.

Before going ahead with the franchising model, you need to be absolutely certain that the business is ready. If there are any gaping holes in your procedures, then rapid expansion will only serve to make them more obvious. Audit your business thoroughly, from finances to IT and from marketing to procurement. Only when you are happy that everything is running as smoothly as it can be,should you look to roll it out.

Know the Law

Franchised businesses are fairly complex legal entities. Make sure you understand all the relevant laws surrounding them and, specifically, your responsibilities with regard to your own business.

Decide on Your Model

Just as no two businesses are the same, nor are any two franchise models. There are many details for you to take into consideration. Some of the most important are:

  • The fees you will charge and the royalties you will take from franchisees.
  • The lengthof the franchise agreements you will offer.
  • The size territory you will award each franchisee.
  • The geographical areas your franchises will cover.
  • Training programs for franchisees.
  • The type of products and equipment that will be supplied to franchisees and which ones they will have to purchase from you.
  • Your marketing plan.

Recruit and Sell

Running a franchised business is a whole new enterprise, from running the original business out of which it grew. You will need employees to look after franchisees and make sure the whole organisation works effectively together. Hiring key members of staff is a critical step. Without them, you will struggle to get your franchised business off the ground.

Likewise, without franchisees, you are going nowhere, so you?d better figure out a sales plan pretty quickly. It is a good idea to have dedicated in-house salespeople to do this, because selling franchises can be very difficult. You are asking people to give up what they are currently doing ? and the security that comes with it ? in order to give you their money and work according to your rules! You need to have a very compelling argument to persuade them to do so, and you need compelling salespeople to make it happen.

Provide Support

Once your new franchises are up and running, you should provide adequate support to ensure that they thrive. Try to prepare for everything, by providing ongoing training on all aspects of the business, as well as efficient IT support services.

NBA 2K Online Gets October 24 Release Date In China, Backed By Tencent

Take-Two and 2K Sports are finally making good on their promise to bring their reining, undisputed top NBA franchise to China. NBA 2K Online will debut in the region on October 24th.

In a partnership with gaming giant Tencent, NBA 2K Online will hope to capitalize on the thriving PC market, which fuels tons of MMORPG titles and online franchises.

If everyone plays their cards right, NBA 2K Online could become an extremely profitable venture for both groups.

2K China?s official English website?for the game hasn?t been updated in a while, but?NBA 2K Online is a confirmed free-to-play title that will feature plenty of social media-inclined modes.

Tencent (and by extension, 2K China) have come under a little bit of scrutiny for their marketing and advertising campaign, which features scantily-clad Chinese models as cheerleaders, rather than actual basketball players.

Tencent Holdings Limited is covering a lot of ground in Chinese gaming with this deal, also partnering with Activision for Call of Duty Online and acquiring Riot Games. They also bought a piece of Epic Games recently, buying an unannounced minority portion of the company?s stock.

Deleting media in FTM 2012 on Windows 7 - Family Tree Maker ...

It has been a long day so I may just be confusing myself. But I have been cleaning up my media (finally!) and have been deleting a thousand or more duplicate or otherwise unwanted photos. After selecting the photo and hitting Delete I get a confirmation message which also has the option to tick a box to send the deleted file to the recycle bin. With other software this option is kind of a failsafe, so you can get one last chance to change your mind and restore the file from the recycle bin. But is FTM's approach different?

Answer ID 2437 appeared to indicate the media file has been deleted from your tree, with or without the recycle bin option. The answer did not spell out, as another Help item I found later seems to, that the media file remains in the media folder unless you direct it to the recycle bin. I hate extra clicks but is that what I have to do to actually reduce the size of the FTM media folder?

Will the media I deleted without sending to the recycle bin be part of syncing the tree to Ancestry...I would hope not?

But does it impact performance of the FTM tree which is already very challenged when it comes to working with the media tab? And finally do these "deleted" media files get backed up when backing up the tree itself on the hard drive, or are only the linked media included in the backup?

Grateful for your input. Thanks in advance.

Alzheimer?s disease, cancer, depression, diabetes, heart attack, and stroke and rheumatoid arthritis.

Homocysteine is a type of protein that is produced by the body and found in the blood.? It is ideally found in low levels.? Produced from an amino acid called methionine which is found in protein foods in the diet, the body normally turns homocysteine into beneficial substances including:? glutathione or S-adenosylmethionine (SAMe).

Too much homocysteine can build up in the blood increasing the formation of plaque on blood vessel walls and clogging and hardening of the arteries?atherosclerosis.

Eastern Congo city sees rise in violence

GOMA, Congo (AP) ? Authorities in Goma say five people were killed this week in shootouts linked to the increase in Congolese army troops here.

Since the beginning of May, the Congolese army has been fighting against a new group of rebels called M23. Thousands of troops were deployed to reinforce the army forces fighting the rebels.

The rise in troops around Goma has increased insecurity in the provincial capital. Residents report gunfire in the city virtually every night.

In the past week several people were killed, spreading fear throughout the city. Local authorities have instructed people to stay home after dark and the streets of Goma have become eerily quiet after 7 p.m.

A Congolese army spokesman denies the troops are to blame for the increase in violence in Goma.

Why do stocks open at prices different from where they closed ...

Why don't stocks open tomorrow at the same price they closed at today? ? Don S.

"Just because the bell rings at four o'clock doesn't mean the market closes," says John Frye, Chief Investment Officer of Beverly Hills-based Crane Asset Management. These days, the expansion of online trading has helped fuel a 24-hour trading cycle.

As a result, stock prices continue to adjust to any relevant news ? from developments in the European debt crisis to updated earnings reports and other company-specific news. Another contributing factor: Many American companies are listed on overseas stock exchanges, and movements in those markets after the U.S. markets close can have a big impact on stock prices by the time trading opens in the U.S. the following morning.

Frye concedes that on occasion there are attempts to manipulate prices up and down. "But mispricing tends to correct itself within a matter of minutes," he says. "If a stock price doesn't reflect the true value of the underlying company, smart investors will figure it out and profit from the mispricing."

Georgian opposition supporters flood capital

TBILISI, Georgia (AP) ? An estimated 100,000 opposition supporters thronged the center of Georgia's capital on Saturday in a show of strength days ahead of a parliamentary election that presents the toughest challenge to the future of Mikhail Saakashvili's government since he became president nearly nine years ago.

The capital, Tbilisi, where a third of Georgia's population lives, long ago turned against Saakashvili. Many people here are disturbed by what they describe as his authoritarian rule, pointing to his control over parliament, the courts and the prosecutor's office.

"He created a system of oppression and covered it with the pretty facade of democracy," said Dali Dvalishvili, who attended the boisterous campaign rally. Although trained as a lawyer, the 28-year-old woman said she was unable to work in a system "where the prosecutor's office dictates everything."

Under Saakashvili, the former Soviet republic has become a U.S. ally and worked toward closer integration with NATO and the European Union. In Monday's election, the president is under pressure to prove his commitment to democracy by holding a free and fair vote.

The election has added significance because it ushers in a new political system that will give greater powers to the parliament and prime minister. After Saakashvili's second and last term ends next year, the party that has a majority in parliament will have the right to name the prime minister, who will acquire many of the powers now held by the president.

Saakashvili's United National Movement, which now holds nearly 80 percent of the seats in parliament, is up against Georgian Dream, a coalition formed by Bidzina Ivanishvili, a billionaire businessman who made his fortune in Russia.

Most observers see the race as too close to call, although they give the governing party the edge.

The mood was upbeat on Saturday as people of all ages gathered on Freedom Square for Ivanishvili's giant campaign rally. Many wore Georgian Dream T-shirts in blue, white or black.

"Saakashvili's system based on lawlessness and torture should be destroyed," Ivanishvili told the crowd.

Saakashvili's campaign was hit hard by the release two weeks ago of shocking videos showing prisoners in a Tbilisi jail being beaten and sodomized. The government moved quickly to stem the anger, replacing Cabinet ministers blamed for the abuse and arresting prison staff, but many saw the videos as illustrating the excesses of his government.

Underwood kisser: I haven't washed my lips yet

By Randee Dawn, TODAY contributor

If you're the kid who got pulled up on stage by Carrie Underwood for your first-ever kiss, and you have the guts to request that it be "lip-to-lip," well, the next day of school is going to be interesting.

"It was crazy," Chase Kurnick, the12-year-old recipient of that now-famous first kiss, said of the frenzy that surrounded him as he tried to get to class. "It took me like five minutes to get to one class down the hallway. They were just fist-bumping me, high-fiving me -- everyone's like?'I'm so jealous.'"

Kurnick joined TODAY's Willie Geist and Savannah Guthrie Friday to talk about his once-in-a-lifetime encounter, which began when he attended Underwood's Saturday night show in Louisville, Ky. and held up a sign asking her to be his first kiss. (He also brought the sign to TODAY.) Underwood agreed, and ushered him onstage. Kurnick's parents, sitting in seats nearby at the show (and standing to the side during Chase's interview), were stunned.?

"My thought was, 'Well, of course (it's happening),'" said dad John. "Chase was determined, but we were shocked that it actually happened."

And he wasn't going to put up with a friendly little smooch: "I wasn't just going to go up there and get just a little kiss on the cheek. If I'm going to get it, I'm gonna get it right," he said.

For those wondering, yes, Chase (who wore a T-shirt with the hashtag #liptolip on it) has brushed his teeth -- but not washed his lips. And he has his sights set on another star, if she's willing to pucker up:

"Selena Gomez," he said.

Experts: 4?leopards a week killed in India for skins

TRAFFIC

These leopard and tiger skins, with fake mouths, were photographed for sale in Myanmar, which neighbors India.

By Miguel Llanos, NBC News

While India has struggled to protect its declining tiger population, its leopards have been getting even less protection, or attention for that matter. A study released Friday recognized that flaw, estimating that at least four leopards are being killed each week, double the official reports, with their skins then smuggled to parts of Asia.

"Even though reports of illegal trade in leopard body parts are disturbingly frequent, the level of threat to leopards in the country has previously been unrecognized, and has fallen into our collective 'blind spot'," study co-author Rashid Raza, the India coordinator for the TRAFFIC wildlife trade monitoring network, said in a statement with the study.

At least 2,300 leopards were killed and then their body parts trafficked between 2001 and 2010, the study estimates.

Official reports of seizures account for nearly half that number, with the rest an estimate based on statistical analysis of "undetected trade" patterns by TRAFFIC,?which is funded by the World Wildlife Fund and the International Union for Conservation of Nature.

The WWF said it was time to focus more efforts on leopards. They have been "overshadowed by the trade in another of the country?s national icons, the tiger," noted WWF-India President Divyabhanusinh Chavda.

Mks Pasha / TRAFFIC

Leopards are widespread across India but not abundant, with experts agreeing that their population is in serious decline.

The report cited numerous cases of leopard skins from India that were for sale in nearby Myanmar, Laos and Tibetan regions of China.

Much of the illegal trade is thought to go through the "porous" border with Nepal, the experts said.

The report noted that while no reliable estimates of leopard numbers in India exist, they are considered widespread but not abundant.

"There has been a long standing anxiety among biologists and conservationists that the leopard in India is in serious decline," the experts stated.

TRAFFIC

This leopard skin was used to make a rug.

Leopards, like tigers, do have protected status in India, but many Indians consider both animals a threat. Some rural villagers have lost livestock, or even their lives, to leopards and tigers.?

The report's authors said that conflict isn't a reason to turn a blind eye to a potential extinction.

"There is still a disproportionate emphasis on the problem that the leopard causes in comparison to the crisis that the leopard is facing," the report stated.

The plight of India's tigers is probably even worse: just 1,700 are estimated to be left in the wild, nearly half the number from a decade ago and a fraction of the 100,000 estimated a century ago. Worldwide, only 4,000 tigers are thought to be left in the wild.

But other data suggests more leopards are being killed than tigers. The nonprofit Project Tiger reports?cases of leopards killed for skins far exceeded tiger poachings in each year between 1998 and 2003.

TRAFFIC and the WWF, after listing ways for India to crack down on trafficking, said a lack of action could lead leopards down that same path.

"Without an effective strategy to assess and tackle the threats posed by illegal trade," said Chavda, "the danger is that leopard numbers may decline rapidly as happened previously to the tiger."

(AP) ? President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney campaigned in each other's shadow for a third straight day, hunting for votes already beginning to be cast and arguing over who would be the better job creator.

The president rallied voters in Virginia Beach while Romney told veterans in Springfield, to the north, that across-the-board defense spending cuts scheduled to take effect in January under a deal Obama made with Congress are "a kind of a gun-to-your-head opportunity."

"It's a strange proposal in the first place," Romney told about 200 people at the American Legion post outside Washington. "It's even stranger it's being put into place."

The candidates' debate spread across the airways in Virginia and a handful of other swing states where the campaign is being waged in its final days. Obama released the latest in a series of new ads his campaign has produced featuring a secret recording of Romney saying that 47 percent of Americans believe they are victims and are dependent on government. The latest spot features audio of Romney speaking over photos of people who might fit into that 47 percent category: women with children, veterans, Hispanics and working-class women.

Obama also released a lengthy two-minute commercial in which he speaks into the camera and describes a "new economic patriotism" that he says will create 1 million manufacturing jobs, cut oil imports and hire thousands of new teachers.

Both ads are set to air in New Hampshire, Virginia, Florida, Ohio, Iowa, Nevada and Colorado. They were not running in North Carolina, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, underscoring the states where the president's campaign contends the election is truly being fought.

Although Election Day is six weeks away, ballots are already being cast in some of those swing states.

"It's game day in America," Obama campaign spokeswoman Jen Psaki told reporters traveling with the president. She noted that Thursday marked the start of early voting in Iowa and that Virginia was sending out absentee ballots.

Obama drove home his commercial's message at the rally, promoting the "new economic patriotism" as rooted in a belief that a growing economy begins with a strong middle class. "I don't think we can get very far with leaders who write off half the nation as a bunch of victims, who never take responsibility for their own lives," Obama said.

Romney argued Obama doesn't deserve another chance to improve the economy, pointing to the Commerce Department's announcement hours earlier of sluggish economic growth in the last quarter. The growth rate was lowered from a previous estimate of 1.7 percent to 1.3 percent for April-June because of the severe drought that reduced farm production in the Midwest.

"Our economy needs to be reinvigorated," he said. "We can't afford four more years of the last four years."

In Virginia, where the military is crucial, Romney said the pending defense spending cuts would devastate the military and eliminate jobs in the state. He said it is "unthinkable" that the U.S. would cut its commitment to the military in a world that remains "troubled and dangerous."

Romney and other Republicans have tried to blame Obama alone for the defense cuts, especially in Virginia. But the GOP overwhelmingly backed the reductions when Congress passed the legislation in August 2011.

Romney has said it was "a mistake" for Republicans to agree to the deal.

Amid both campaigns' hunt for working-class voters, Romney released a new ad Thursday aimed at coal miners. It included video of Obama as a candidate in 2008 saying he would support laws to force emitters of greenhouse gases to buy allowances at auction. "So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it's just that it will bankrupt them," Obama says in the ad.

Meanwhile, new Republican-leaning independent groups have entered the presidential advertising fray as polling suggests Romney's campaign may be losing ground against Obama in key states such as Ohio and Florida.

The commercials, aimed at voters who supported Obama in 2008 but are now undecided, join those from the campaigns and outside groups swamping a narrow and possibly shrinking map of competitive states in the fast-moving presidential contest. Americans for Job Security launched an $8.7 million ad buy in six battleground states, while the Ending Spending Action Fund, a new conservative group bankrolled by billionaire Joe Ricketts, was set to debut a $10 million, four-state ad campaign on Thursday.

Obama supporters also are working to keep Romney's "47 percent" comments alive. Democratic super PAC Priorities USA Action and a political group tied to the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees released a radio ad in Ohio and Virginia airing the remarks. The ad, part of a $1.25 million radio buy, tells listeners Romney's "just not looking out for us."

Day 151 ? Remove the Energy in E-mail by Breathing, write L-mail ...

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to speak and write words driven by energy.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to rush to write something out because I am feeling driven by emotional energy to express myself.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to write emails out of sheer mental/emotional energy without considering its consequences to all.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to write emails in demand to get attention.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to write nasty mean shit in my emails to get attention, to get a boast for my mind energy.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not see the energy in e-mail, its energy-mail, written out of sheer emotional outburst causing harm to self and others.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize, speaking and writing are the same thing, they both affect the other person equally. within this I forgive me for subtly believing that in speaking I must be more careful than writing, as if the written word is less potent.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not see/realize/understand, be it speaking, or writing, I am in the word, expressing myself so it will impact others.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to secretly believe that I should more responsible for spoken words than written words, as if written word is not serious. within this I forgive me for not seen that written or spoken, the words are ME, I am expressing myself through my words, as me.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to hold onto guilty memories of the days when I wrote nastiest emails to my brother demanding his attention.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to hold onto memories of the days when I wrote emails out of sheer emotional outburst, the nastiest shit to hurt and harm others so that they will pay attention to me, never realizing what kind of attention will I get after having attacked them so badly with written words.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to speak nicely with people yet write nasty shit to them.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not see/realize that I am fuelling my mind energy through writing nasty e-mail/energy-mail to people.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not see/realize and understand, I have to breathe, be here, take a pause, take a deep breath in fact, and then proceed to write about the issues at hand without bursting out energy into E-mails causing harm and conflicts. Within this I see/realize that I must write L-mail, Life-mails not E-mail/Energy-mails to support self and others as myself.

When and as I see that I am writing out of energy outburst, I stop, I breathe, I realize, that releasing energy out of nasty emails is the not way, instead I breathe, I write the issues out within the context of self-forgiveness and self-correction to support myself. I see that bursting out energy is not best for all, instead I breathe and remain here. I write Life-mails to self and others as life.

Nikon Coolpix S800c starting to ship in U.S and Australia

Android Central

Despite being somewhat overshadowed by the Jelly Bean toting Samsung Galaxy Camera, we shouldn't forget about the Nikon Coolpix S800c. Having been announced prior to IFA 2012 where we first saw the Galaxy Camera, all fell quiet ahead of an expected late September release. It's now late September, and we're starting to see some of the first retailers with stocks of the camera.

Down under, in Australia, the S800c is showing up in stock at CameraCity for AU$399 plus delivery and is available in black or white. According to the guys at Ausdroid, no local retailers are showing the device in stock, but some are showing up in retailers systems to place orders for.

Back across the Pacific, and one of the earliest U.S. retailers to announce pre-orders for the S800c, B+H Photo Video, also shows the camera as in stock. Initially they only have the white version, but the black is due to ship any time soon. Pricing is set at $349.95 with free shipping to the U.S.

Considering the expected price for the Galaxy Camera, the Nikon could be a bit of a steal. The Galaxy Camera offers more on the Android front, that goes without saying, with the Nikon languishing on Gingerbread. But, we should remember this is supposed to be a camera first and foremost, and it's really this end of the device that matters the most. If you're thinking of picking one of these up, or have already taken possession, hit us up in the comments below and let us know your thoughts.

Samsung Galaxy Camera swings past the FCC with AT&T-capable 3G

Samsung Galaxy Camera swings past the FCC with AT&Tcapable 3G

Samsung made much ado of the Galaxy Camera coming in both 3G and 4G versions, but it wasn't clear just which carriers would let us upload photos when away from WiFi. The FCC might have just given out a big clue with approval filings for two 3G editions. As it's been tested for US clearance, the Android point-and-shoot in its EK-GC100 and EK-KC100 guises has support for HSPA-based 3G on the 850MHz and 1,900MHz bands used by AT&T and larger Canadian carriers -- a possible hint of Big Blue's ongoing connected devices push, but not a very promising discovery for most T-Mobile users or any CDMA customers. Before anyone bemoans the absences of LTE or support for more American networks, however, we'd note that this is just one filing and might not represent the totality of Samsung's US plans, if we're indeed looking at one or more US-bound examples. We'll keep an eye out ahead of the Galaxy Camera's international launch in October to see if there's anything more in the FCC's cards.

Strikeforce fighters compensated after fight cancellation

After Strikeforce canceled Saturday's events, fighters worried about their finances because they didn't have the fight pay day. The good news is that they still will receive some compensation from Zuffa, the parent company of the UFC and Strikeforce.

MMA Junkie confirmed that the fighters left without a bout will get their "show money," or the amount they would get for fighting regardless of the bout's outcome. As far as the sponsors who also add to their fight night payout, it's up to each individual sponsor on how they want to proceed.

[Kevin Iole: It's time for Showtime, Strikeforce to cut losses, move on]

Since finding out they didn't have a fight, a few fighters took advantage of not having to cut weight.

Gian Villante had to cut down from 240 to 205. He was in the 220 range when the fight was canceled. He headed to Taco Bell when he heard the news.

"If I'm going to be honest, the first thing I think is, alright, I'll just go to Taco Bell, but I don't want to go crazy," Villante said to MMA Fighting. "So I went with a cheesy gordita crunch with chicken, and they have this new thing, a Doritos taco shell, that just looked amazing. That was calling my name, I went for that one. I had about three of those. I went home and there was this veal parm hero that was in the fridge for about a week now that my brother left in the refrigerator. It's been looking at me for a week and it's just torture, so, I'm like you know what, I'm eating this thing. I ate half a veal parm hero that was a week old and didn't even taste good, and then I had about a half a gallon of ice cream, chocolate chip cookie dough."

That's downright astounding. Thank goodness he is being paid at least his show money, as he might need to stock up on some healthy food to make up for that binge.

Google obeys Brazilian court order, blocks YouTube political video

RIO DE JANEIRO (Reuters) - The Brazilian unit of Google, the world's No. 1 Internet search engine, said on Thursday it had obeyed a court order to remove a video attacking a candidate in Brazilian municipal elections from its YouTube service after legal appeals were exhausted.

"We are profoundly disappointed to not have the opportunity of openly debating our arguments in the electoral justice system that the videos were legitimate manifestations of the freedom of expression and should continue (to be) available in Brazil," said Fabio Coelho, director-general of Google in Brazil in an e-mailed statement.

The legal challenges underscore broader questions about Google's responsibility for content uploaded by third parties to its websites, including an anti-Islam video that sparked a wave of protests and violence in the Muslim world.

An arrest warrant was issued for Coelho earlier this week by a court in Brazil's Mato Grosso do Sul state after Google failed to obey an order demanding removal of the video attacking a mayoral candidate.

Judges in Brazil have held executives responsible for resisting the removal of online videos in violation of a stringent 1965 Electoral Code. The law bans campaign ads that "offend the dignity or decorum" of a candidate.

Google, which says it complies with local law but fights "diligently" to protect free speech, complied with the judge's order after it ran out of appeal chances, Coelho said.

On Wednesday, Coelho was questioned by Federal Police officers over the failure to remove the video and was later released.

"Despite this, we will continue with our global campaign for liberty of expression, not just because it is a prerequisite for a free society but also because more information generally means more schools, more power, more economic opportunities and more liberty for people," he said.

DEFAMING THE PROPHET

The person or persons who posted the offending videos "ironically" removed them on their own accord and closed their YouTube account, Coelho said.

"This is just one example of the intimidation effect of such an episode for freedom of speech," he added.

Earlier this month, an electoral court in Brazil's Paraiba ordered the arrest of another senior Google executive, Edmundo Luiz Pinto Balthazar, after the company refused to take down a YouTube video mocking a mayoral candidate there.

The video clip loaded by the user "Paraiba Humor" seized on a verbal slip by a candidate in a montage remarking, "What an idiot - give him an F!"

Within days, another judge overturned the order to arrest Balthazar, writing that "Google is not the intellectual author of the video, it did not post the file and for that reason it cannot be punished for its propagation."

Brazil also entered a broader international debate this week about an inflammatory YouTube video depicting the Prophet Mohammad as a womanizer, fool and child abuser, when a state court in Sao Paulo ordered Google to take down the video.

World leaders have decried the video, which set off a string of violent protests in the Muslim world, including attacks on U.S. embassies in Egypt, Libya and Yemen. Several Muslim leaders called for international action to outlaw acts of blasphemy.

When President Barack Obama addressed the U.N. General Assembly on Tuesday, he repeated his condemnations of the video as "crude and disgusting" but defended the importance of free speech in the United States and throughout the world.

Ruling on a lawsuit by Brazil's National Islamic Union, Sao Paulo Judge Gilson Delgado Miranda gave Google 10 days to remove the video. In his decision, Miranda said he weighed freedom of expression against the need to protect against action that might incite religious discrimination.

This could be interesting. Inspired by The Island I assume?

Staring real hard at the available slots. Might make a character should inspiration strike.

Haha. I hope you find one you like, I tried to make all the spots as interesting as each other :) I actually haven't heard of that film though I'd assume that since cloning is a rather intriguing and controversial topic many different stories would be made about it.

Oh please, please, please let me reserve The One in Denial! I really want to join this :)

I have this theory that, depending on your attitude,
your life doesn't have to be this ridiculous charade
that it seems so many people end up living.
